<p data-start="243" data-end="510"><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;">The flooding, triggered by intense rainfall, struck areas along the Guadalupe River. Among the hardest hit was Camp Mystic, a private Christian summer camp for girls, where approximately 23 children remain unaccounted for. The camp typically hosts around 750 campers.</span></p>
<p data-start="512" data-end="798"><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;">Texas Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick stated during a press briefing that a massive rescue operation is underway, involving at least 14 helicopters, 12 drones, and over 500 personnel. The agency also warned of a &ldquo;large and deadly flood wave&rdquo; moving downstream along the Guadalupe River.</span></p>
<p data-start="1323" data-end="1584"><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;">The river&rsquo;s level in Kerr County surged from 7.5 feet to nearly 30 feet overnight and is projected to crest at 34 feet in Spring Branch by Friday afternoon. Online videos captured vehicles, mobile homes, and camper trailers being swept away by the raging water.</span></p>
<p data-start="1586" data-end="1781"><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;">Texas Governor Greg Abbott announced that the state is deploying all available resources to support rescue and relief efforts. &ldquo;The immediate priority is saving lives,&rdquo; he posted on social media.</span></p>
