Cricket in the United States is set for a major boost with the launch of the Mayor&rsquo;s New World T20 Cricket League, a 12-day spectacle beginning this November. The tournament aims to blend global cricketing stars with local American talent, positioning the USA as an emerging hub for the sport.
The league will feature four franchises, comprising 60 players from cricket powerhouses including India, South Africa, England, West Indies, and the USA. Fans can expect a thrilling mix of international legends, USA national team members, and promising local cricketers.
League Commissioner Brijesh Mathur said the tournament is designed to inspire and provide opportunities for American players. &ldquo;We are committed to creating pathways for young and aspiring cricketers. The Mayor&rsquo;s New World T20 is also an opportunity to unearth local talent and give them the invaluable experience of sharing the field with world-class players,&rdquo; Mathur noted.
Organised by Pramanit Global Ventures USA Inc, the event will showcase high-octane 20-over matches, each lasting 180 minutes and packed with sixes, wickets, and edge-of-the-seat action.
Mathur added, &ldquo;We believe this mix of legends, international stars, USA National team and emerging USA cricketers will inspire the next generation.&rdquo;
