UEFA has announced a delay in its decision on whether Crystal Palace will be allowed to participate in the 2025/26 UEFA Europa League due to ongoing complications surrounding multi-club ownership regulations.
The decision was expected Monday, but uncertainties linger as Palace co-owner John Textor also owns a stake in French side Olympique Lyonnais. To comply with UEFA's rules, Textor has begun selling his 44% stake in Palace, reportedly to New York Jets owner Woody Johnson.
Adding to the complexity, Lyon has been relegated to Ligue 2 by France&rsquo;s financial watchdog DNCG. UEFA&rsquo;s Club Financial Control Body (CFCB) stated it will postpone judgment until Lyon&rsquo;s appeal is resolved.
