India&rsquo;s young sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi showcased his batting brilliance during his first U19 ODI appearance at the Ian Healy Oval in Brisbane, giving Australia an early glimpse of his potential.
The 14-year-old opener played a fearless knock of 38 runs from just 22 balls, smashing seven boundaries and a towering six before being dismissed in the fifth over by Hayden Schiller.
Suryavanshi&rsquo;s aggressive intent was clear from the very first delivery of India&rsquo;s chase of 226, as he opened with a boundary and continued to dominate the Australian attack. 
Though his dismissal slowed India&rsquo;s momentum, his cameo briefly threatened to shift the game in India&rsquo;s favor.
This debut in Australia adds to the growing reputation of the teenage prodigy. 
Earlier this year, Suryavanshi grabbed headlines in the IPL with Rajasthan Royals, where he hammered the fastest century by an Indian &mdash; reaching three figures in just 35 balls against Gujarat Titans.
