<p data-start="290" data-end="509"><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;">Srikanth, a former world championship silver medallist and runner-up at the Malaysia Masters in May, dominated the world No. 6 with a 21-18, 21-9 win in just 43 minutes during their quarterfinal clash on Saturday (IST).</span></p>
<p data-start="511" data-end="654"><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;">Earlier, Srikanth had comfortably dispatched Chinese Taipei&rsquo;s Wang Po-Wei 21-19, 21-14 in the pre-quarterfinal to set up the meeting with Chou.</span></p>
<p data-start="656" data-end="931"><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;">Currently ranked 49th in the world, Srikanth now faces a challenging semifinal against Japan&rsquo;s third seed Kenta Nishimoto. The two have met ten times previously, with Srikanth holding a 6-4 edge. He had also beaten Nishimoto in straight games at the last World Championships.</span></p>
<p data-start="933" data-end="1105"><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;">Nishimoto, known for his consistency and tireless court coverage, earned his semifinal spot after a gritty 21-15, 5-21, 21-17 win over India&rsquo;s Sankar Muthusamy Subramaniam.</span></p>
