Manchester United have officially signed Brentford star Bryan Mbeumo on a five-year contract running until June 2030. The &pound;65 million deal includes an option for a further year and makes the Cameroon international United&rsquo;s third signing of the summer.
Mbeumo joins striker Matheus Cunha and defender Diego Leon at Old Trafford, as the club rebuilds under manager Ruben Amorim. His arrival coincides with reports suggesting Marcus Rashford is nearing a loan move to FC Barcelona.
&ldquo;It&rsquo;s a dream come true,&rdquo; said Mbeumo. &ldquo;This is the club I&rsquo;ve supported since childhood. I want to push myself to new levels and help United win big trophies.&rdquo;
The 25-year-old forward was a standout performer for Brentford, scoring 20 Premier League goals last season, the fourth-highest tally and adding 8 assists. In total, he registered 70 goals and 51 assists in 242 appearances for the Bees.
United Director of Football Jason Wilcox praised Mbeumo&rsquo;s consistency: &ldquo;His productivity has been elite. He&rsquo;ll thrive under Ruben Amorim, and our pre-season tour in the U.S. will help him settle in quickly.&rdquo;
Mbeumo is set to join United&rsquo;s squad for their upcoming tour of the United States, as fans eagerly await the beginning of a new era at Old Trafford.
