Two-time Wimbledon champion Petra Kvitova and British men&rsquo;s No.1 Dan Evans headline the list of wild card entries for the Wimbledon 2024 main draw, as announced on Tuesday.
Kvitova, who recently returned from maternity leave, will rejoin the Grand Slam stage where she famously defeated Maria Sharapova in 2011 to become the first player born in the 1990s to win a major. She also lifted the Venus Rosewater Dish again in 2014. Now 35 and ranked No. 572, Kvitova marked her return with a win over Irina-Camelia Begu in Rome.
Evans, set for his 10th Wimbledon appearance, earned his wild card after a big win over Frances Tiafoe at the HSBC Championships &mdash; his best-ranked victory since 2023.
Other British men to receive wild cards include Henry Searle (2023 boys&rsquo; champion), Jay Clarke, Jack Pinnington Jones, Johannus Monday, George Loffhagen, and Oliver Crawford.
British stars Jack Draper, Jacob Fearnley, Cam Norrie, and Billy Harris secured direct entries into the men&rsquo;s singles draw.
On the women&rsquo;s side, Emma Raducanu, Katie Boulter, and Sonay Kartal will directly enter the main draw. Kartal returns after making history last year as the first British woman since 1997 to reach the third round from qualifying.
Teen prodigy Hannah Klugman, following her French Open girls&rsquo; final run, will make her senior Grand Slam debut. She&rsquo;s joined by fellow wild card entrants Mimi Xu, Mika Stojsavljevic (2024 US Open girls&rsquo; champ), Francesca Jones, Harriet Dart, Jodie Burrage, and Heather Watson.
Five British men and women have also earned wild card spots in qualifying, including Arthur Fery, Oliver Tarvet, Ryan Peniston, Paul Jubb, and Oliver Bonding (2025 Lexus 18U champ). Among women: Amarni Banks, Lily Miyazaki, Ella McDonald, Amelia Rajecki, and Ranah Stoiber.
