Kiran Suraj Dadhe had entered her marriage in 2020 with the hope that a promised job would bring stability, but instead found herself further pushed into insecurity.
According to investigators, Kiran returned to her parents&rsquo; home after her husband, Swapnil Jaydev Lambghare, repeatedly delayed the job he had assured her and allegedly subjected her to escalating verbal abuse. As financial pressure tightened, she began documenting the threatening messages she received, preparing evidence for legal action as her family urged her to seek divorce.
The growing strain eventually led her to file a petition in a family court, even as the harassment allegedly continued. The emotional and economic burden appears to have deepened her distress, culminating on December 4 when she consumed poison at her home. She was rushed to a hospital but succumbed after three days of treatment.
Police say Swapnil has been absconding since the incident, triggering a manhunt.
