The high-voltage Asia Cup 2025 encounter between India and Pakistan in Dubai ended in controversy after the Indian team walked off without the traditional post-match handshake.
Led by captain Suryakumar Yadav, India clinched a seven-wicket victory, but instead of greeting their opponents, the players headed straight to the dressing room and shut the door behind them.
Pakistan captain Salman Ali Agha and his teammates were left waiting in vain, sparking anger within the Pakistan camp. 
Head coach Mike Hesson expressed fury over the snub, while team manager Naveed Akram Cheema filed an official protest with match referee Andy Pycroft, calling the move a violation of sportsmanship.
Asian Cricket Council (ACC) chief and PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi also criticised India, describing the act as &ldquo;utterly disappointing&rdquo; and accusing the team of dragging politics into cricket. 
Reports indicate the ACC is weighing disciplinary action, though no formal sanctions have been announced yet.
In his post-match statement, Suryakumar dedicated the victory to the victims of the recent Pahalgam terror attack and to India&rsquo;s armed forces, reaffirming the team&rsquo;s solidarity with the affected families.
