The ICC Women&rsquo;s ODI World Cup 2025 Trophy Tour concluded its Visakhapatnam leg, celebrating women&rsquo;s cricket and generating excitement ahead of the prestigious tournament.
The tour kicked off on September 7 at the ACA-VDCA Stadium, one of the five Indian venues for the World Cup. Senior officials from the Andhra Cricket Association, including Secretary Sana Sathish Babu and Joint Secretary Boyalla Vijay Kumar, warmly welcomed the iconic trophy.
The event brought together 70 women cricketers from across the state, providing an inspirational experience for aspiring players. Attendees enjoyed media interactions and photo opportunities, while 12 groundswomen from the stadium had a special chance to pose with the trophy and get a closer look at the coveted silverware.
During its six-day stay in the city, the trophy was showcased at Visakhapatnam&rsquo;s most iconic locations, including the INS Kurusura Submarine Museum, Visakhapatnam Port, Old Town, VMRDA Park, Jagadamba Junction, RK Beach, and the Glass Bridge at Kailasagiri, India&rsquo;s longest glass skywalk.
The Trophy Tour also visited local schools such as Timpany School, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan&rsquo;s Public School, Kendriya Vidyalaya, and Sri Basara Leads International School, engaging young cricket enthusiasts and building anticipation for the World Cup.
The tour, which is making stops in cities across India and Sri Lanka, aims to bring fans closer to the tournament and its iconic trophy ahead of the 13th edition of the ICC Women&rsquo;s ODI World Cup.

Tickets are now on sale worldwide starting at just Rs 100 (approximately USD 1.14), marking the lowest-ever starting price for any ICC global event. The ICC Women&rsquo;s Cricket World Cup 2025 will be held from September 30 to November 2, with matches across DY Patil Stadium (Navi Mumbai), ACA Stadium (Guwahati), Holkar Stadium (Indore), ACA-VDCA Stadium (Visakhapatnam) and R Premadasa Stadium (Colombo, Sri Lanka).
