&nbsp;Former Arsenal and Atletico Madrid midfielder Thomas Partey has been charged with five counts of rape and one count of sexual assault by the UK&rsquo;s Metropolitan Police. The incidents are alleged to have occurred between 2021 and 2022.
The 32-year-old Ghanaian international, who left Arsenal on July 1 after not renewing his contract, is due to appear before Westminster Magistrates' Court on August 5.
According to a statement by the Metropolitan Police and the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS), the charges involve three separate women:

Partey, who played 167 matches for Arsenal and 188 for Atletico Madrid, has also represented Ghana 53 times, scoring 15 goals.
Detective Superintendent Andy Furphy urged others impacted by the case or with information to come forward.&nbsp;
