Calvert-Lewin, who joined Everton from Sheffield United in 2016, scored 71 goals in 274 appearances for the Toffees.
In a heartfelt statement on Instagram, the 27-year-old said, &ldquo;After nine remarkable years at this club, I&rsquo;ve made the incredibly difficult decision&mdash;together with my family&mdash;to begin a new chapter in my career. Everton has been my home since I was 19 years old.&rdquo;
Once one of England&rsquo;s most promising forwards, Calvert-Lewin&rsquo;s career was disrupted by a series of injuries&mdash;including a broken toe in 2021 and multiple hamstring issues&mdash;that limited his appearances in recent seasons. After netting 16 Premier League goals in 2020/21, he managed just 15 goals across the following four campaigns.
Despite the setbacks, Calvert-Lewin remained a fan favourite for his commitment and critical goals in key matches. &ldquo;I hope I leave with your respect, knowing I always sought to uphold the values of this great club,&rdquo; he added.
The striker leaves as a free agent, with speculation linking him to several Premier League clubs.
