The 38-year-old Serbian fought back from a set down to prevail 4-6, 6-3, 7-5 in a tense encounter filled with momentum shifts, featuring 13 break points and five service breaks in the deciding set. With the victory, Djokovic claimed his 72nd tour-level title on hard courts, surpassing Roger Federer for the most such crowns in the Open Era.
The former World No. 1, already the most decorated male player in tennis history with 24 Grand Slam titles, once again demonstrated his trademark resilience and composure under pressure.
For Musetti, the loss was a double setback &mdash; it not only denied him the Athens crown but also ended his bid to qualify for the ATP Finals in Turin. The Italian needed to win the title to edge past Felix Auger-Aliassime for the final qualification spot. Despite saving a match point in the semifinals against Sebastian Korda, Musetti was unable to sustain his early momentum in the championship clash.

Tien Wins First ATP Title in Metz
In another major highlight, 19-year-old American Learner Tien claimed his maiden ATP Tour title at the Moselle Open in Metz, stunning Britain&rsquo;s Cameron Norrie 6-3, 3-6, 7-6(6) in a nail-biting final.
Trailing 1/5 in the deciding-set tiebreak, Tien produced a fearless comeback to secure the biggest victory of his young career. The win is expected to propel him into the Top 30 of the ATP Rankings, making him the first American teenager to lift an ATP Tour trophy since Andy Roddick achieved the feat in 2002.
Norrie, who was also runner-up in Metz in 2024, came close to redemption but fell short once again. He will finish the season with a 34-26 win-loss record, according to the Infosys ATP Win/Loss Index.
