England international Callum Wilson, former Newscastle and Bournemouth striker has officially signed with West Ham United on a one-year contract, marking a fresh chapter in his Premier League journey. Having passed a medical with Hammers on Saturday, He joins the Hammers as a free transfer.&nbsp;
This comes after he departed Newcastle United at the end of last season after talks over a new contract failed to reach an agreement. Limited to just 18 Premier League appearances during the campaign, he struggled for regular game time, falling behind Alexander Isak in the attacking lineup.
Expressing his excitement, Wilson said, "I&rsquo;m thrilled to be joining a massive football club like West Ham. The Club matches my drive and passion, hard work, dedication, and the hunger for success."
The 32-year old forward brings with him a wealth of experience, having notched up 111 direct goal involvements in 239 Premier League appearances. He&rsquo;s also been capped nine times for England, scoring twice.
West Ham head coach Graham Potter hailed the signing, stating, &ldquo;Callum is a proven striker with a fantastic record and strong leadership qualities. His character and work ethic make him an ideal fit for the environment we&rsquo;re building.&rdquo;
Potter emphasized Wilson&rsquo;s potential influence on younger squad members and his commitment to helping West Ham climb higher in the league standings.
