The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has invited bids for the national team lead sponsor rights following the conclusion of its association with Dream11. Interested entities can obtain the Invitation for Expression of Interest (IEOI) documents until September 12, with bid submissions due by September 16.
The IEOI can be purchased for a non-refundable fee of Rs 5 lakh plus GST. Eligible bidders must meet financial and integrity criteria, including a minimum turnover or net worth of Rs 300 crore over the last three years and no criminal convictions, conflicts of interest, or involvement in gambling, online gaming, or crypto businesses.
Bidders from restricted categories, including alcohol, tobacco, pornography, and gambling-related sectors, are not eligible. Surrogate brand submissions and blocked brand categories like sportswear, banking, insurance, and non-alcoholic beverages are also prohibited.
This move comes after the Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act, 2025, which disallowed Dream11 from continuing as India&rsquo;s cricket team sponsor. BCCI reserves the right to amend or cancel the process at any stage.
