The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has opened applications for multiple vacancies in its senior men&rsquo;s, women&rsquo;s, and junior men&rsquo;s selection committees. The deadline is 5 PM IST on September 10.
For the senior men&rsquo;s committee, two national selector posts are up for grabs. Applicants must have played at least seven Tests or 30 First-Class matches, or 10 ODIs and 20 First-Class matches, and must have retired at least five years ago. Former junior panel chief Sridharan Sharath, elevated in 2023, is expected to exit, with either Subroto Banerjee or Shiv Sunder Das also in contention for replacement.
The senior women&rsquo;s committee has four openings. Eligible candidates must have represented India, retired at least five years ago, and not served more than five cumulative years on a BCCI Cricket Committee. Current selectors Neetu David, Arati Vaidya, Renu Margrate, and Venkatacher Kalpana are nearing the end of their terms, while Shyama Shaw, who joined in 2023, may continue.
The junior men&rsquo;s panel is also being reshuffled. Candidates need 25 First-Class matches and five years&rsquo; retirement. Members Ranadeb Bose, Harvinder Singh Sodhi, Pathik Patel, or Krishen Mohan could be replaced, while chairperson Thilak Naidu is likely to stay.
All appointments will follow BCCI&rsquo;s integrity standards, with shortlisted candidates facing interviews.
