Apollo Tyres is set to take over as the official jersey sponsor of the Indian cricket team after outbidding competitors Canva and JK Tyre to secure the prestigious deal.
Under the agreement, the tyre manufacturer will pay approximately ₹4.5 crore per match, surpassing the ₹4 crore previously paid by former sponsor Dream11.&nbsp;
The sponsorship will remain in place until 2027, covering nearly 130 international matches across all formats.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) had floated fresh tenders earlier this month following the premature termination of its contract with Dream11.&nbsp;
The gaming company exited after the passage of the Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Bill, which banned real-money gaming apps.&nbsp;
In line with the new law, the BCCI excluded both gaming and cryptocurrency firms from participating in the bidding process.
The bidding, held on September 16, saw Apollo Tyres emerge victorious. 
While Birla Optus Paint had initially expressed interest, it ultimately chose not to submit a bid.
