Indian football is moving toward normalcy as the All India Football Federation (AIFF) confirmed that the Super Cup will be held from October 25 to November 22, 2025, while also approving a key tender process for its commercial rights.
The AIFF Executive Committee, in its virtual meeting on September 6, approved the Federation&rsquo;s Request for Quotation (RFQ) to select an agency for managing and awarding the rights to monetise AIFF&rsquo;s commercial properties.
A three-member Bid Evaluation Committee (BEC) has been formed to oversee the process, chaired by former Supreme Court judge Justice L. Nageswara Rao, alongside Kesavaran Murugasu of the AFC Audit &amp; Compliance Committee, and AIFF president Kalyan Chaubey.
The move comes after the Supreme Court&rsquo;s September 2 directive asking AIFF to ensure the football calendar begins on time, following the collapse of negotiations for a new Master's Right Agreement.
Confirming the Super Cup schedule, the AIFF said the tournament will allow clubs to begin pre-season training while the tender process continues. The MRA Task Force Committee, constituted in April 2025, will act as the Tender Committee for evaluating recommendations from a professional services firm.
The Super Cup, running in a phased manner from October 25, will act as a bridge tournament while Indian football prepares for the next league season.
