On Tuesday, the Supreme Court of India in an interim order has banned the state governments from demolitions properties using Bulldozers, of accused. Now the state government will need prior permission from the Supreme Court.

At the same time the court has also clarified that where the action is required to clear unauthorized construction, it can be carried out. Demolition of encroachment on public streets, footpaths, abutting railway lines, water bodies or public spaces is allowed by the court.

A Bench of Justices&nbsp;BR Gavai&nbsp;and&nbsp;KV Viswanathan&nbsp;said that this order will continue at least till October 1, when the Court will hear the matter next.&nbsp;

The stay will be effective till the next hearing of the petition. The Bench was hearing two pleas Court seeking directions to the Central government and States to&nbsp;restrain from bulldozing homes or shops of accused in criminal proceedings as a bulldozer justice.

In the earlier hearing, the court had criticised such a action taken by state governments, and it has observed that the court will issue guideline to tackle such issue.

सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने देशभर में बुलडोजर कार्रवाई पर रोक लगा दी है। कोर्ट ने राज्यों को निर्देश दिया है कि अगली सुनवाई की तारीख 1 अक्तूबर तक न्यायालय की अनुमति के बिना भारत में कहीं भी संपत्ति को ध्वस्त नहीं किया जाएगा। हालांकि, कोर्ट ने यह साफ किया है कि यह आदेश सार्वजनिक सड़कों, फुटपाथों आदि पर किसी भी अनधिकृत निर्माण पर लागू नहीं होगा। उच्चतम न्यायालय ने कहा कि अगर अवैध रूप से तोड़फोड़ का एक भी मामला है, तो यह हमारे संविधान की मूल भावना के विरुद्ध है।
