The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has sought a maximum sentence of seven years&rsquo; rigorous imprisonment for Robert Vadra and others in connection with the 2008 Gurugram land deal.
In its prosecution complaint before a Special PMLA court in Delhi, the ED also urged confiscation of 43 immovable properties allegedly acquired using ₹58 crore in proceeds of crime generated through money laundering. The properties are valued at ₹38.69 crore.
The ED accused Vadra, husband of Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, of fraudulently executing a transfer deed containing false statements about the consideration amount, violating Section 423 of the IPC. The agency alleged undervaluation of land, causing a ₹44 lakh loss in stamp duty to the Haryana government.
The court will take cognisance of the complaint on August 28.
