Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has announced significant cuts in customs duty on various products to boost domestic production and make essential goods more affordable for consumers.
Key announcements include:
Cancer drugs: Reduction in customs duty on drugs and medical devices, making cancer drugs affordable.
Mobile Phones: 15% reduction in Basic Customs Duty (BCD) on mobile phones, mobile PCBs and mobile chargers, making mobile phones cheaper.
Solar Panels and Solar Cells: Reduction in customs duties, making solar panels and solar cells cheaper, making electric vehicles more affordable.
Gold and Silver: Customs duty on gold and silver has been reduced by 6%, making it cheaper to buy gold and silver. Steel and Copper: Reduce production costs by reducing BCD on ferro nickel and electronics and eliminating BCD on oxygen-free copper.
These changes are aimed at promoting domestic production, increasing government revenue and benefiting the common man by reducing prices of essential commodities.
The Finance Minister highlighted that the common man has already benefited from GST and these additional measures will further boost economic growth and consumer welfare.

નાણા પ્રધાન નિર્મલા સીતારમણે સ્થાનિક ઉત્પાદનને વેગ આપવા અને ગ્રાહકો માટે આવશ્યક ચીજવસ્તુઓને વધુ સસ્તું બનાવવા માટે વિવિધ ઉત્પાદનો પરની કસ્ટમ ડ્યુટીમાં નોંધપાત્ર કાપની જાહેરાત કરી છે.
મુખ્ય ઘોષણાઓમાં શામેલ છે:
કેન્સર દવાઓ: દવાઓ અને તબીબી ઉપકરણો પરની કસ્ટમ ડ્યુટીમાં ઘટાડો, કેન્સરની દવાઓ સસ્તું બનાવે છે.
મોબાઈલ ફોન: મોબાઈલ ફોન, મોબાઈલ પીસીબી અને મોબાઈલ ચાર્જર પરની બેઝિક કસ્ટમ ડ્યુટી (બીસીડી)માં 15%નો ઘટાડો, મોબાઈલ ફોનને સસ્તો બનાવે છે.
સોલાર પેનલ્સ અને સોલાર સેલ: કસ્ટમ ડ્યુટીમાં ઘટાડો, સોલાર પેનલ્સ અને સોલાર સેલ સસ્તું બનાવવું, ઇલેક્ટ્રિક વાહનોને વધુ સસ્તું બનાવવું.
સોનું અને ચાંદી: સોના અને ચાંદી પરની કસ્ટમ ડ્યુટીમાં 6% ઘટાડો થયો છે, જેનાથી સોનું અને ચાંદી ખરીદવાનું સસ્તું થશે.
સ્ટીલ અને કોપર: ફેરો નિકલ અને ઇલેક્ટ્રોનિક્સ પર BCD ઘટાડીને અને ઓક્સિજન-મુક્ત કોપર પર BCD નાબૂદ કરીને ઉત્પાદન ખર્ચમાં ઘટાડો.
આ ફેરફારોનો ઉદ્દેશ્ય સ્થાનિક ઉત્પાદનને પ્રોત્સાહન આપવા, સરકારની આવકમાં વધારો કરવા અને આવશ્યક ચીજવસ્તુઓના ભાવમાં ઘટાડા દ્વારા સામાન્ય માણસને લાભ આપવાનો છે.
નાણાપ્રધાને હાઇલાઇટ કર્યું હતું કે સામાન્ય માણસને GSTથી પહેલેથી જ ફાયદો થયો છે અને આ વધારાના પગલાં આર્થિક વૃદ્ધિ અને ગ્રાહક કલ્યાણને વધુ વેગ આપશે.

वित्त मंत्री निर्मला सीतारमण ने घरेलू उत्पादन को बढ़ावा देने और उपभोक्ताओं के लिए आवश्यक वस्तुओं को अधिक किफायती बनाने के लिए विभिन्न उत्पादों पर सीमा शुल्क में महत्वपूर्ण कटौती की घोषणा की है।&nbsp;
प्रमुख घोषणाओं में शामिल हैं:
कैंसर की दवाएं: दवाओं और चिकित्सा उपकरणों पर सीमा शुल्क में कमी, कैंसर की दवाओं को किफायती बनाना।
मोबाइल फोन: मोबाइल फोन, मोबाइल पीसीबी और मोबाइल चार्जर पर बुनियादी सीमा शुल्क (बीसीडी) में 15% की कटौती, जिससे मोबाइल फोन सस्ते हो जाएंगे।
सौर पैनल और सौर सेल: सीमा शुल्क में कमी, सौर पैनल और सौर सेल को सस्ता बनाना, इलेक्ट्रिक वाहनों को अधिक किफायती बनाना।
सोना और चांदी: सोने और चांदी पर सीमा शुल्क 6% कम कर दिया गया है, जिससे सोना और चांदी खरीदना सस्ता हो गया है।
स्टील और तांबा: फेरो निकल और इलेक्ट्रॉनिक्स पर बीसीडी को कम करके और ऑक्सीजन मुक्त तांबे पर बीसीडी को खत्म करके उत्पादन लागत कम करें।
इन बदलावों का उद्देश्य घरेलू उत्पादन को बढ़ावा देना, सरकारी राजस्व बढ़ाना और आवश्यक वस्तुओं की कीमतें कम करके आम आदमी को लाभ पहुंचाना है।
वित्त मंत्री ने इस बात पर प्रकाश डाला कि आम आदमी को जीएसटी से पहले ही फायदा हुआ है और इन अतिरिक्त उपायों से आर्थिक विकास और उपभोक्ता कल्याण को बढ़ावा मिलेगा।
