<p data-start="75" data-end="262"><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;">Nine pilgrims on the Amarnath Yatra were injured when three buses collided on the Srinagar-Jammu National Highway near Khudwani crossing in Kulgam district on Sunday.</span></p>
<p data-start="264" data-end="421"><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;">According to officials, the accident occurred when one of the bus drivers lost control and rammed into two other buses traveling as part of the Yatra convoy.</span></p>
<p data-start="423" data-end="751"><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;">Following the incident, 14 pilgrims were initially evacuated by Kulgam Police and taken to the Primary Health Centre (PHC) in Wanpoh for first aid. Of these, nine required medical treatment and were later shifted to Government Medical College (GMC), Anantnag for further care. All injured are reported to be in stable condition.</span></p>
<p data-start="753" data-end="942"><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;">The injured pilgrims, all residents of Madhya Pradesh, have been identified as Darjan, Ishor Lal, Mohal Lal, Piswan Choudhary, Bagas Ratan, Mishra, Sham Lal, Ishwar Lal Bali, and Jagarnath.</span></p>
<p data-start="944" data-end="1179"><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;">The group was part of the ongoing Shri Amarnath Yatra (SANJY-2025), which began on July 3 and will conclude on August 9, coinciding with Shravan Purnima and Raksha Bandhan. So far, over two lakh devotees have undertaken the pilgrimage.</span></p>
<p data-start="1181" data-end="1508"><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;">Authorities have implemented a robust, multi-layered security plan for this year&rsquo;s Yatra, especially in the wake of the April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam where 26 civilians were killed. An additional 180 companies of Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) have been deployed to support the Army, BSF, CRPF, SSB, and local police.</span></p>
<p data-start="1510" data-end="1734"><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;">The Army is leading 'Operation SHIVA 2025', deploying more than 8,500 troops along with advanced surveillance and defense systems to secure the Yatra routes and base camps from Jammu&rsquo;s Bhagwati Nagar to the holy cave shrine.</span></p>
<p data-start="1736" data-end="2017" data-is-last-node="" data-is-only-node=""><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;">Pilgrims can reach the cave shrine, located at an altitude of 3,888 meters in the Kashmir Himalayas, via two main routes: the traditional Pahalgam route (46 km) or the shorter Baltal route (14 km).
