A 19-year-old student from Chandrapur district, Maharashtra, tragically died by suicide on the day he was scheduled to leave for medical college admission.
The victim, Anurag Anil Borkar, had recently cleared the NEET UG 2025 examination with a 99.99 percentile and secured an All India Rank of 1475 in the OBC category. 
He lived in Nawargaon, Sindewahi taluka, with his family and was being prepared to travel to Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, to begin his MBBS course.
According to police, Anurag was found hanging at his residence before he could depart for Gorakhpur. 
Authorities recovered a suicide note at the scene.&nbsp;
While officials have not released its contents, police sources revealed off the record that Anurag had expressed he did not want to pursue a career in medicine.
The Navargaon Police are currently investigating the case.
