The Gujarat state health department has announced that none of the seven people from Borisana village who were tricked into undergoing angioplasties at Khyati Hospital needed them.
The revelation comes a day after news broke that two patients, Nagarbhai Senma and Maheshbhai Barot, died after undergoing stent implantation procedures at the private hospital in Ahmedabad. Relatives allege the operations were conducted without permission.
"After checking their medical condition, the team concluded that all seven were healthy, and no one required angioplasty," said Additional Chief Secretary (Health) Dhananjay Dwivedi.
The state will now file a criminal case against the hospital management, which is also accused of siphoning ₹3.66 crore from state schemes through unnecessary procedures and fake billing. 
Authorities have also recommended that the licenses of doctors involved in the scheme be cancelled. 
The health department will also make written patient consent mandatory for all cardiovascular surgeries from now on, an official said. 
"It is a very serious issue and a criminal offence," commented Health Minister Rishikesh Patel, stating that a case will be registered based on the findings of visits by senior doctors and the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY) team.
The malpractice may extend beyond the recent cases. According to PMJAY Deputy Director UB Gandhi, the government has collected patient statements and medical records. "No funds have been released for the recent operations, and all pending bills from the hospital will be put on hold," he added.
Even before the investigation into Khyati Hospital begins, information has surfaced that at least 20 private hospitals in Mehsana district have allegedly siphoned government funds through fake operation bills. The District Collector and District Development Officer have convened a review meeting to examine this issue. Any hospital found to be involved in any irregularities will face serious action, Gandhi said.&nbsp;&nbsp;
The health department also plans to investigate a previous patient death at Khyati Hospital in 2022&nbsp; that came to light through media reports.

અમદાવાદમાં રાજપથ ક્લબ સામે આવેલી ખ્યાતિ મલ્ટીસ્પેશિયાલિટી હોસ્પિટલે કડીના બોરીસણા ગામના 19 લોકોની બારોબાર એન્જિયોગ્રાફી અને તેમાંના 7ની એન્જિયોપ્લાસ્ટી કરી નાખીને PMJAY(પ્રધાનમંત્રી જનઆરોગ્ય યોજના)થી પૈસા પડાવી લેવા કાળાં કરતૂત કર્યાં હતાં. આ 7માંથી 2 લોકોનાં મોત થઈ ગયાં છે.ખ્યાતિ હોસ્પિટલે છેલ્લા છ જ મહિનામાં આ રીતે ખોટી રીતે સારવાર, ઓપરેશન કરીને સરકાર પાસેથી PMJAY યોજનાના 3.66 કરોડ રૂપિયા ગપચાવી લીધા છે

&nbsp;અમદાવાદમાં આવેલી ખ્યાતિ મલ્ટીસ્પેશિયાલિટી હોસ્પિટલે છેલ્લા છ જ મહિનામાં સરકાર પાસેથી 3 કરોડ 66 લાખ 87 હજાર 143 રૂપિયા PMJAY યોજના અંતર્ગત ઓપરેશન કરીને શેરવી લીધા. 1 જૂન-2024થી લઈને 12 નવેમ્બર-2024 સુધીની વાત કરીએ તો કુલ 650 કેસમાંથી આ રકમ ઓળવી લેવામાં આવી હતી, જેમાંથી 605 તો કાર્ડિયોલોજી કેસના જ 2.77 કરોડ ઓળવી લીધા. કુલ 45 સર્જરી પેટે સરકારમાંથી 89.87 લાખની રકમ ઓળવી લીધી. તો છેલ્લા છ જ મહિનામાં 380 એન્જિયોગ્રાફી, 220 એન્જિયોપ્લાસ્ટી અને 36 બાયપાસ સર્જરી પણ છ મહિનામાં કરી નાખી.
કાંડ થયા પછી જાગી સરકાર, ખ્યાતિ હોસ્પિટલનાં એકાઉન્ટ ફ્રીઝ કર્યાં
ખ્યાતિ મલ્ટીસ્પેશિયાલિટી હોસ્પિટલ દ્વારા આયુષ્યમાન કાર્ડ, PMJAY યોજના જેવી સરકારી મેડિકલ યોજનાઓમાંથી નાણાં ગપચાવી જવાની ઘટનાએ આખા ગુજરાતના મેડિકલ જગતને હચમચાવી નાખ્યું છે. 2021ની સાલમાં PMJAY યોજના માટે ખ્યાતિ હોસ્પિટલને સરકારે માન્યતા આપી હતી. આજે PMJAY યોજનાના પૈસા પડાવી લેવાની લાલસાથી સફેદ કોટમાં રહેલા ખ્યાતિ હોસ્પિટલના ડોક્ટરોનાં કાળાં કરતૂતોને કારણે સરકારે હોસ્પિટલનાં તમામ બેન્ક એકાઉન્ટ ફ્રીઝ કરી દીધાં છે.

PM-JAY-MA(પ્રધાનમંત્રી જનઆરોગ્ય યોજના મા અમૃતમ)ના ડેપ્યુટી ડાયરેક્ટર યુ.બી. ગાંધીએજણાવ્યું હતું કે ખ્યાતિ હોસ્પિટલમાં અમારી ટીમ પહોંચીને તપાસ કરે છે. તમામ દર્દીઓના રેકોર્ડ ચકાસી રહ્યા છીએ. ખરેખર દર્દીઓને એન્જિયોપ્લાસ્ટી કે એન્જિયોગ્રાફીની જરૂર હતી કે કેમ, એની પણ અમે તપાસ કરી રહ્યા છીએ. 2022માં પણ આ હોસ્પિટલમાં બેજવાબદારીથી મૃત્યુ થયાં હતાં, એની માહિતી અમને હમણાં મળી છે એટલે એ વખતની ઘટનાની પણ તપાસ કરાવીશું. ખ્યાતિ હોસ્પિટલ 2021માં એમ્પેનલ થયેલી છે.
'હમણાં હોસ્પિટલને કોઈ પેમેન્ટ અપાશે નહીં'
&nbsp;આમાં સરકારે કેટલા રૂપિયા ચૂકવ્યા છે? જવાબમાં યુ.બી. ગાંધી કહે છે, સરકારે કોઈ રૂપિયા ચૂકવ્યા જ નથી. આ સેટલમેન્ટ ત્રણેક મહિના પછી થતું હોય છે. અત્યારે તો સરકાર પ્રીઓથોરાઇઝેશન આપે, એટલે દર્દી જ્યારે હોસ્પિટલમાં જાય. તેની પાસે મા કાર્ડ હોય તો પ્રીઓથોરાઈઝેશન માટે ઓનલાઈન રજિસ્ટ્રેશન થાય. પછી એને એપ્રૂવલ મળે. પછી ક્લેમ મુકાય, ક્લેમ એક્ઝામિન થાય પછી મહિના પછી પેમેન્ટ થતું હોય છે. અત્યારે તો આ પેમેન્ટ હોલ્ડ પર મુકાઈ ગયું છે. હમણાં હોસ્પિટલને કોઈ પેમેન્ટ અપાશે નહીં.
મેડિકલ કેમ્પ માટે PMJAYમાંથી મંજૂરી લેવાની નથી હોતી
કોઈપણ હોસ્પિટલ સંચાલકે મેડિકલ કેમ્પ કરવો હોય તો કોની કોની મંજૂરી લેવાની હોય છે, એની પ્રોસેસ શું? જવાબમાં તેઓ કહે છે, મેડિકલ કેમ્પ એ સોશિયલી ગણાય છે. જ્ઞાતિ લેવલે પણ કેમ્પ થતા હોય છે. મેડિકલ કેમ્પ માટે PMJAYમાંથી મંજૂરી લેવાની નથી હોતી. સામાન્ય રીતે મોટા મેડિકલ કેમ્પ હોય ત્યારે જિલ્લા વહીવટી તંત્રને જાણ કરાતી હોય છે. નવી ગાઈડલાઈન વિશે યુ.બી. ગાંધીએ કહ્યું હતું કે હવે PMJAY યોજનાના નામે કે એનું બેનર વાપરીને યોજનાના નામે પ્રલોભન આપીને કેમ્પોનું આયોજન થતું હોય એ બધું અમે બંધ કરાવવા માગીએ છીએ, જેથી સરકારની યોજનાનો દુષ્પ્રચાર ન થાય.
 સામાન્ય રીતે ક્યારેક પ્રવાસમાં જાય ત્યારે એ પ્રવાસીઓની યાદી બનતી હોય છે ત્યારે આ વખતે 19થી વધુ લોકોને કહેવામાં આવ્યું કે તમને સારવાર માટે લઈ જવાના છે અને તમારે તમારા આધારકાર્ડ અને મા કાર્ડ જેવા ડોક્યુમેન્ટ તૈયાર રાખજો, અમે બસ મોકલીશું. અલગ અલગ હોસ્પિટલો દ્વારા અલગ અલગ વિસ્તારમાં કેમ્પ કરવામાં આવે છે અને ત્યાર બાદ તેમને જે પેશન્ટ મળે છે, તેમની સારવાર કરવામાં આવે છે, પરંતુ પહેલી વખત એવું બને છે જ્યાં એન્જિયોગ્રાફી અને એન્જિયોપ્લાસ્ટીના દર્દીઓને એકસાથે ખાનગી હોસ્પિટલ દ્વારા શોધવામાં આવ્યા અને મોટા ભાગનાની એન્જિયોગ્રાફી કરી દેવામાં આવી.
ખ્યાતિ હોસ્પિટલ સરકારી યોજનાના નામે કૌભાંડ કરવા કુખ્યાત છે. અગાઉ 2022માં પણ સાણંદના તેલાવ ગામમાં કેમ્પ યોજી લોકોને હોસ્પિટલ લાવ્યા હતા અને ત્રણ દર્દીને સ્ટેન્ટ મૂક્તાં એક દર્દીનું મોત થયું હતું. આ મામલે પોલીસે ગુનો નોંધી તપાસ કરી હતી. ફરી એક વખત ખ્યાતિ હોસ્પિટલ દ્વારા PMJAYના નામે કૌભાંડ આચરવામાં આવ્યું છે.
