A devastating and deeply shameful incident of gang-rape has shocked Visnagar town in the Mehsana district of Gujarat. In a horrifying two-day ordeal that has drawn immense public anger, a 15-year-old minor girl was allegedly kidnapped and subjected to repeated sexual assault by six miscreants at different locations.
The tragic sequence of events began on the night of Saturday, October 4. According to the police complaint, the girl was initially abducted by Vijay Thakor and Pawan Thakor while out for a walk. They took her to a secluded spot on Sevalia Road, where the crime began. Raj Thakor and an unknown accomplice later joined them.
The ordeal continued after the initial assault. Subsequently, another accused, Soham Thakor, allegedly took the minor to Pawan Thakor's office, where Pawan and Raj Thakor again sexually assaulted her. Finally, the crime culminated with Prakash Modi, who allegedly took the girl to his home and continued the assault until Monday.
Upon the victim's return and her brave disclosure late Tuesday night, the Visnagar Police acted immediately. They registered a case against the five named men Vijay Thakor, Pawan Thakor, Raj Thakor, Soham Thakor, and Prakash Modi along with one unidentified accomplice. Charges were filed for kidnapping, rape, and under the stringent POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) Act.
Multiple police teams were formed, ensuring the swift apprehension of all six accused. The news of the barbaric crime has provoked widespread outrage across the region, with citizens demanding the severest and swiftest punishment possible for the perpetrators.
