The Uttar Pradesh Anti-Narcotics Task Force (UP ANTF) has arrested a supporting actor associated with popular web series such as Farzi and The Family Man in connection with an MDMA trafficking case.
The accused, identified as Man Singh, was arrested by the UP ANTF&rsquo;s Agra unit from Mumbai following a prolonged search operation. Singh, a resident of Rajouri Garden in Delhi, had been absconding in a case related to the trafficking of the banned synthetic drug MDMA.
According to officials, Singh had worked as a supporting artist in several films and web series and allegedly used his links within the entertainment industry as a cover to carry out narcotics trafficking. Investigators said he was staying at Marina Enclave Building in the Malvani area of Mumbai at the time of his arrest.
The ANTF alleges that Singh was actively involved in the supply and distribution of MDMA while posing as a struggling actor in the film and digital entertainment space. His arrest forms part of the agency&rsquo;s broader crackdown on organised drug trafficking networks operating across states.
Officials said further investigation is underway to identify his associates and trace the larger narcotics supply chain.
