A shocking case of sexual assault has been reported from Chhattisgarh&rsquo;s Kabirdham district, where a young tribal woman was allegedly raped by three men in the early hours of Wednesday. The incident took place under the jurisdiction of the Kawardha City Kotwali police station.
According to police officials, the survivor, believed to be around 20 to 22 years old, argued with a friend around 2.30 am and was walking alone on the road. At that time, a group of men approached her on a motorcycle, forcibly took her away, and allegedly committed the assault.
Kabirdham Superintendent of Police Dharmendra Singh Chhvai confirmed that the victim&rsquo;s statement has been recorded and a case has been registered. Efforts are underway to identify and apprehend the accused.
The incident has raised concerns about women&rsquo;s safety in the region and highlighted the need for stronger preventive measures against crimes targeting vulnerable communities. Police said that further investigation is ongoing, and strict action will be taken once the culprits are caught.
