Its geographical proximity to Sri Lanka makes it vulnerable to such cross-border incidents.</span></p>
<p data-start="1256" data-end="1509"><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;">The Indian Coast Guard and Navy have maintained strict surveillance in the area to prevent such illegal movements. Increased patrolling and monitoring measures are in place, with local fishermen also being urged to report any suspicious activity at sea.</span></p>
<p data-start="1511" data-end="1809"><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;">The Coast Guard regularly engages with local fishermen, encouraging them to share timely intelligence about unusual sightings. In a related incident last Saturday, the Sri Lankan Navy apprehended two individuals, Emmanuel Mushab and Ajithan, who had arrived in Tamil Nadu by sea using a small boat.</span></p>
