Three devotees lost their lives and 11 others were injured in a tragic road accident in Andhra Pradesh&rsquo;s Annamayya district on Monday. The incident occurred near Dommana Bavi in Kurabalakota Mandal, where a truck collided with a tempo carrying pilgrims returning to Karnataka after visiting the Sri Venkateswara temple in Tirumala.
The victims, all from Bagepalli in Karnataka&rsquo;s Chikkaballapura district, were rushed to the government hospital in Madanapalli. Andhra Pradesh Transport Minister Mandipalli Ramprasad Reddy expressed deep shock and directed officials to ensure quality medical care and support for the victims&rsquo; families.
Former CM Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy also mourned the incident, calling it &ldquo;deeply unfortunate&rdquo; and urged for the best treatment for the injured.
In Hyderabad, a separate accident claimed the life of a 19-year-old man, Mushtaq, after a car crashed into an electricity pole in Balanagar. Three others were injured.
Later, a massive pile-up involving 10 vehicles occurred on the Outer Ring Road (ORR) in Shamshabad due to sudden braking by a speeding car. Though no serious injuries were reported, the incident caused a 2-km-long traffic jam.
