Techie&rsquo;s Death and Missing Files Stir Outrage
Bengaluru-based techie Atul Subhash, 34, tragically died by suicide, accusing his estranged wife Nikita and her family of harassment and extortion. His death and the allegations detailed in his 24-page suicide note have sparked national outrage, compounded by the mysterious disappearance of several files from the Google Drive link he shared before his death.
The missing files reportedly included his detailed suicide note and a letter titled "To Milords," criticising the justice system. The shared drive now displays only a few remaining items, such as a poem titled "Death Knows No Fear," a declaration of innocence, and a letter addressed to the President.
Social media users have alleged a deliberate attempt to erase evidence, with some accusing authorities of pressuring Google to remove files. While some had downloaded and redistributed the documents online, neither Bengaluru police nor Google have commented on the matter.
Atul&rsquo;s video, shared alongside the drive, detailed his ordeal, including accusations of false cruelty charges and extortion demands by Nikita. He claimed that Nikita sought ₹2 lakh monthly maintenance, though a court mandated ₹80,000. He also alleged systemic bias against men in legal disputes involving marriage and custody.
In the aftermath, Atul&rsquo;s brother filed an abetment to suicide case against Nikita, her mother Nisha Singhania, brother Anurag Singhania, and uncle Sushil Singhania. While three accused are in judicial custody, Sushil remains at large.
The family has now demanded custody of Atul&rsquo;s son, questioning his current whereabouts. Calls for a thorough investigation into the missing files and the case continue to mount on social media.
