The Delhi Crime Branch has dismantled a major Pakistan-linked international arms smuggling network and arrested four members involved in supplying foreign-made weapons across North India.
Investigators revealed that the gang was sourcing high-end pistols manufactured in Turkey and China. These firearms were transported into Pakistan, moved across the border via drones into Punjab, and then supplied to criminals in Delhi and nearby states.
Among the arrested individuals are two men from Punjab. Police recovered 10 sophisticated foreign pistols and 92 live cartridges during the crackdown. Officials noted that the network operated under the guidance of handlers connected to Pakistan&rsquo;s intelligence setup.
Agencies are now analysing mobile phones, financial trails and social media communication to uncover the gang&rsquo;s full reach and identify additional buyers and facilitators.
This breakthrough comes as security forces intensify investigations into the recent Delhi car blast and the Faridabad terror module linked to Jaish-e-Muhammad. Authorities have found that the accused were being trained to manufacture explosives and were preparing nearly 200 bombs intended for simultaneous attacks across Delhi and other North Indian states.
Security agencies have also stepped up searches after the November 10 blast near the Red Fort Metro Station, which killed multiple people and left several injured. Additional suspects associated with the Faridabad module have been apprehended as investigations continue.
