A case involving the alleged sexual assault of a 17-year-old girl has shaken Haryana&rsquo;s Nuh district, with police launching an intensive manhunt for three accused men from the same village. The incident, reported by the girl&rsquo;s family, has been registered under stringent provisions of the POCSO Act, highlighting the gravity of the allegations.
Police said the complaint was filed by the victim&rsquo;s father, who alleged that his daughter had been under pressure and intimidation for several months. On Friday night, the accused allegedly forced her out of her home and took her to nearby fields, where she was unlawfully confined until the following morning.
The victim was threatened with serious consequences, including harm and online circulation of videos, which caused her severe distress. An FIR has been registered at Sadar Tauru police station, and two special teams have been formed to trace and arrest the accused at the earliest.
Investigators said the accused were known to the girl and had allegedly used coercion and fear to maintain contact. Police have assured that all angles are being probed and that strict action will follow. Authorities reiterated that protecting the identity and wellbeing of the minor remains a top priority as the investigation progresses.
