In a shocking incident from Chhindwara, Madhya Pradesh, a three-day-old baby boy was abandoned in a forest and left under a large stone by his parents, allegedly out of fear of losing a government job.
The father, Bablu Dandoliya, a government school teacher, was reportedly concerned about violating service rules that prohibit employment for those with more than two children. 
To avoid detection, the couple concealed the pregnancy. 
On September 23, soon after the delivery, the mother carried the newborn into the forest and left him beneath a rock.
Morning walkers later heard faint cries, at first mistaking them for those of an injured animal. 
On closer inspection, they found the bloodied infant, his body covered in ant bites and suffering from hypothermia. 
The child was rushed to Chhindwara District Hospital, where doctors confirmed his condition to be critical.
Police have registered a case under Section 93 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) for child abandonment. 
&ldquo;Further charges, including Section 109 BNS (attempt to murder), may be added after legal review,&rdquo; SDOP Kalyani Barkade stated.
The horrific case has further shocked the district, which is already grappling with another tragedy &mdash; the death of six children from kidney-related ailments between September 4 and 26, raising renewed concerns about the region&rsquo;s healthcare system.
