At least four people were injured in a shocking car and stabbing attack near the Heaton Park Hebrew Congregation Synagogue in Manchester on Tuesday morning.
Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said they were alerted at 9:31 a.m. following reports that a vehicle had been deliberately driven into members of the public. 
During the attack, one man was also stabbed.
Emergency services rushed to the scene, where paramedics treated victims for injuries sustained from both the car and the knife assault. 
The suspect was shot dead by police officers at the site.
&ldquo;Paramedics arrived at the scene and are tending to four members of the public with injuries caused by both the vehicle and stab wounds,&rdquo; GMP confirmed in a statement on X.
The North West Ambulance Service deployed several teams, while local authorities urged people to stay away from the area.
Manchester Mayor Andy Burnham called it a &ldquo;serious incident,&rdquo; but reassured residents that the immediate threat had been neutralized, praising GMP for their quick and effective response.
Police have not yet disclosed the attacker&rsquo;s identity or possible motive.
