According to senior officials of Kolkata Police, two separate forensic reports &mdash; one based on blood samples collected from the alleged crime scene and the other on digital data extracted from a suspect's phone &mdash; have provided crucial and corroborative evidence pointing toward the accused's guilt.
Evidence From Crime Scene 
The first report, which analysed blood traces and biological material recovered from the guard room inside the college premises &mdash; where the victim was allegedly assaulted &mdash; revealed conclusive matches with the DNA profiles of Monojit Mishra, the alleged perpetrator, and his two associates, Jaib Ahmed and Pramit Mukhopadhyay. Investigators believe this guard room was pre-identified and accessed with intent.
The second report focused on a deep scan of Monojit Mishra's mobile phone, which uncovered sensitive data including conversations, deleted media, and location logs, not only tied to the current incident but also indicative of potential past misconduct and patterns of predatory behavior.
&ldquo;Some of the retrieved data suggests that the accused may have been involved in similar acts previously. This expands the scope of the investigation,&rdquo; said a senior official close to the case, though he declined to disclose specifics due to the sensitive nature of the content.
Gait Analysis and CCTV Evidence 
In addition to the forensic reports, the police have employed gait pattern analysis which is a biometric method of matching a person&rsquo;s unique walking style, to validate the movement of the accused captured in CCTV footage. In the video, the suspects can be seen forcibly escorting the victim into the guard room, a sequence that has become a focal point of the prosecution&rsquo;s case.
The combination of gait analysis, CCTV footage, and forensic confirmation presents what legal experts are calling a "watertight case". Over 60 witnesses, including faculty, students, and security personnel, have provided statements that align with the forensic timeline.
