Police reported that the accused took the girl to a shed and attempted the assault. When the girl screamed, attracting locals, the accused allegedly strangled her and fled.The girl&rsquo;s parents, from Koppal, work as a painter and a maid. The mother had taken the girl to her workplace, where the accused abducted her.The girl&rsquo;s body was later found in a shed. Karnataka Police tracked down and arrested the accused, identified as 35-year-old Ritesh Kumar from Patna. He was killed in an encounter while attempting to escape.
