<p data-start="52" data-end="332"><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;">In a shocking and gruesome incident in Maynaguri, north Bengal's Jalpaiguri district, a man allegedly killed his wife, dismembered her body with a sharp weapon, and carried her heart and other body parts in a bag while roaming around the area on Friday morning.</span></p>
<p data-start="334" data-end="517"><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;">Locals reported that the man, identified as Ramesh Roy, even opened the bag and showed his wife&rsquo;s heart to some people in the vicinity, causing panic and horror in the neighborhood.</span></p>
<p data-start="519" data-end="750"><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;">Police confirmed that Ramesh Roy killed his 45-year-old wife, Deepali Roy, and carried her body parts around casually. In a disturbing act, he reportedly went to a neighboring house and displayed some of the remains to residents.</span></p>
<p data-start="752" data-end="900"><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;">The neighbors, terrified by the gruesome act, alerted the local panchayat, which informed the police. Ramesh Roy has a son and a married daughter.</span></p>
<p data-start="902" data-end="1354"><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;">&ldquo;The crime occurred this morning. Upon receiving information, we reached the spot and recovered some of the wife&rsquo;s body parts. He even showed the remains to his neighbors. Investigations revealed that he used a sharp weapon to cut the body into pieces and stuffed them in a bag, roaming around the area. Neighbors found the bed soaked in blood. Our investigation is ongoing,&rdquo; said Subal Chandra Ghosh, Inspector in Charge of Maynaguri police station.</span></p>
<p data-start="1356" data-end="1510"><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;">The police have recovered the remaining parts of Deepali Roy&rsquo;s body and sent them to the Jalpaiguri Government Medical College and Hospital for autopsy.</span></p>
<p data-start="1512" data-end="1809" data-is-last-node="" data-is-only-node=""><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;">Neelima Roy, head of the Maynaguri Gram Panchayat, said, &ldquo;Locals informed me that a man from the neighborhood was roaming with body parts in a bag and even showed them to someone in a house. People were horrified to witness such a ghastly crime in our midst, and I immediately alerted the police.&rdquo;</span></p>
