A tragic incident unfolded in Robinson Township, Pittsburgh, where an Indian-origin motel manager, Rakesh Ehagaban (50), was shot dead outside his motel after he stepped out to check on a dispute in the parking lot.
According to authorities, the suspect, Stanley Eugene West (37), fatally shot Ehagaban in the head at point-blank range when the victim approached and asked, &ldquo;Are you alright, bud?&rdquo; Surveillance footage captured West walking toward Ehagaban and firing from close range.
Police said the incident began when West shot his female companion following an argument outside the motel. 
When Ehagaban intervened to help, the suspect turned his weapon on him, killing him instantly. 
The woman remains in critical condition, while a child present during the altercation was unharmed.
Following the double shooting, police tracked West, which led to a shootout during which a Pittsburgh detective was injured.&nbsp;
West sustained multiple gunshot wounds before being apprehended.
Authorities confirmed that West now faces charges including criminal homicide, attempted homicide, and reckless endangerment.
