The brutal killing of Chandra Mouli &ldquo;Bob&rdquo; Nagamallaiah, a 50-year-old Indian-origin motel manager in Dallas, has sparked outrage in the U.S., with senior leaders including Senator Ted Cruz and former President Donald Trump condemning the incident.
Cruz, who represents Texas, said Nagamallaiah was &ldquo;brutally murdered by an illegal alien with a heinous criminal record&rdquo; who had been released under the Biden administration. 
&ldquo;Nagamallaiah should still be with us today, living peacefully with his family in Dallas. Punish the murderer to the fullest extent of the law,&rdquo; he stated.
Trump, in his first remarks on the case, described Nagamallaiah as a &ldquo;well-respected person&rdquo; and confirmed that the accused, Yordanis Cobos-Martinez, a 37-year-old Cuban national, will face first-degree murder charges.&nbsp;
Trump alleged that Cobos-Martinez had previously been arrested for &ldquo;terrible crimes,&rdquo; including child sex abuse, grand theft auto, and false imprisonment, but was released after Cuba refused to take him back.&nbsp;
He blamed the Biden administration&rsquo;s &ldquo;incompetence&rdquo; for allowing &ldquo;such an evil person&rdquo; to remain in the country.
&ldquo;Rest assured, the time for being soft on these illegal immigrant criminals is over under my watch,&rdquo; Trump said, vowing that his administration, along with DHS Secretary Kristi Noem and Attorney General Pam Bondi, would be committed to &ldquo;making America safe again.&rdquo;
According to Dallas Police, the killing occurred after a dispute over a broken washing machine at the Downtown Suites motel, where both men worked.&nbsp;
Investigators said Cobos-Martinez grew enraged when Nagamallaiah asked another person to translate instructions instead of speaking directly to him.
Surveillance footage captured Cobos-Martinez attacking Nagamallaiah with a machete. 
The victim tried to flee to the motel office, where his wife and 18-year-old son were present.&nbsp;
Both attempted to intervene multiple times but were pushed aside as the accused continued the assault. 
Police reported that Cobos-Martinez took Nagamallaiah&rsquo;s phone and key card before resuming the attack, ultimately beheading him in front of his family.
Cobos-Martinez, who had been released from ICE custody earlier this year after Cuba rejected his deportation, is now in police custody.
