<h1 class="text-2xl font-bold mt-1 text-text-100">Seven Family Members Found Dead in Suspected Mass Suicide</h1>
<p class="whitespace-normal break-words">Seven members of an Uttarakhand family, including three children, were discovered dead inside a car on a vacant plot in Panchkula's Sector 27 late Monday evening in what police believe was a mass suicide.</p>
<p class="whitespace-normal break-words">The deceased comprised two girls aged 12-13, their 14-year-old brother, both parents, and grandparents. All were found in the same vehicle with its rear windscreen covered by a towel.</p>
<p class="whitespace-normal break-words">A passerby became suspicious of the concealed windscreen around 10pm and discovered the unconscious occupants before alerting authorities. The family was rushed to Ojas Hospital in Panchkula, where only the children's father showed signs of life upon arrival.</p>
<p class="whitespace-normal break-words">"He was still breathing when we got there, but he also succumbed during treatment," said ACP (Headquarters) Vikram Nehra.</p>
<p class="whitespace-normal break-words">Police sources indicate the family from Dehradun had attended a spiritual gathering at Bageshwar Dham in Panchkula and were returning home when the tragedy occurred on Sunday. The family, previously residents of Chandigarh, were reportedly in severe financial distress and heavy debt.</p>
<p class="whitespace-normal break-words">Local resident Puneet, who witnessed the discovery, described the scene: "Someone told us a car was parked outside with a towel on it. When we asked, they said they'd come for Baba's programme and couldn't find a hotel, so were sleeping in the car. We told them to move elsewhere. Later we noticed they'd vomited on each other and pulled one out."</p>
<p class="whitespace-normal break-words">"The case is being investigated thoroughly from all angles," said Chandimandir SHO Inspector Rampal. Family relatives in Ludhiana have been notified of the deaths.</p>
