<p>The murder of local property dealer Manjesh Kumar has been solved, with Dehradun police arresting four individuals involved in a shocking betrayal and deadly business rivalry, senior officials announced today.</p>
<p>Kumar was found strangled in a rented room in the Patelnagar area on November 30. Initially suspected to be a robbery gone wrong, the case soon revealed deeper motives tied to property disputes.</p>
<p>Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Ajai Singh stated that the breakthrough came when the property owner identified two suspects&mdash;Sachin, who had rented the room, and Arjun, his frequent visitor. Both were seen with Kumar on the night before his death.</p>
<p>"Within 24 hours, we arrested Sachin near Asharodi. His confession led to the capture of Arjun outside a Haryana court," Singh said.</p>
<p>Investigations unveiled a sinister conspiracy: Kumar had approached Arjun to execute a contract killing of his rival, Sanjay alias Fauji, over property issues. However, Arjun betrayed Kumar by informing Sanjay of the plot. Allegedly, Sanjay offered Arjun and Sachin financial rewards to eliminate Kumar instead.</p>
<p>On November 30, under the pretense of a gathering, Arjun and Sachin lured Kumar to the rented room, where they strangled him and stole valuables, including a gold chain, ring, and car keys.</p>
<p>The arrests of Sanjay and his accomplice Afzal followed, completing the case. Police recovered the stolen items, with car keys found on Sanjay and the jewelry traced to Afzal.</p>
<p>The police department has announced a cash reward of Rs 10,000 for the swift and efficient resolution of the case.</p>
<p>This chilling incident exposes the growing risks tied to property disputes in the region and serves as a reminder of the critical need for vigilance in business dealings.</p>
