Days after a devastating car explosion near Delhi&rsquo;s Red Fort killed at least ten people and left more than twenty injured, the Centre has officially classified the 10/11 blast as a &ldquo;terror incident.&rdquo; The investigation, led by national security and counterterrorism agencies, has now uncovered crucial links pointing towards the banned group Jaish-e-Mohammed.
Authorities have revealed that the nature of the explosion and digital evidence recovered from the accused suggest coordination through encrypted Telegram chats with handlers based in Pakistan. The probe began after a terror module was busted in Faridabad, where several doctors were arrested for suspected radical activities.
Investigators believe the blast may have occurred due to panic when police closed in on the Faridabad group, though other possibilities, including a planned attack or accidental detonation, are still under review.
The arrested individuals, including Dr Umar Nabi and Dr Muzammil Shakeel Ganaie, were reportedly part of an educated but radicalised network operating under foreign influence. Both had previously travelled to Turkey in 2022, a trip now under scrutiny for possible terror links.
The government reaffirmed its stance on zero tolerance towards terrorism and vowed strict action against those involved in the Red Fort blast, which marks one of the most serious security breaches in the capital in recent years.
