A horrifying double murder caught on camera has sent shockwaves across Madhya Pradesh&rsquo;s Shahdol district. 
The video shows two brothers being mercilessly hacked to death with swords, axes, and sticks &mdash; an attack that has left police and locals in disbelief and sparked widespread outrage.
The gruesome incident occurred late on October 21 in Balbahara village, under the Keshavhi police outpost. 
Around ten assailants, led by Anurag Sharma, stormed into an auto parts shop where three brothers were sitting after lighting Diwali lamps. 
According to eyewitnesses, the group broke down the shop door and dragged the brothers outside before launching a brutal assault.
The attackers reportedly beat the men with deadly weapons, smashing their limbs and striking their heads repeatedly. 
The chilling footage allegedly shows the mob systematically breaking the victims&rsquo; hands and legs while others stood by, cheering and filming the attack.
One of the brothers died instantly, while the other two were rushed to Shahdol Medical College. 
One of them succumbed to his injuries during treatment, while the third, identified as Satish, was later transferred to Bilaspur in critical condition.
Family members claimed they repeatedly called the police during the attack, but no officers arrived for hours. 
They have accused Keshavhi outpost in charge, Ashish Jharia, of negligence and alleged collusion with the attackers.
The next day, October 22, angry relatives and villagers blocked the road, demanding strict action against the culprits and negligent officers. 
The District Collector and SP arrived at the scene, assuring justice. 
Following public pressure, the Keshavhi outpost in charge was line-attached, and the Budhar police station in charge was also removed late at night.
Before his death, one of the victims, Rahul Tiwari, managed to record a short statement naming Anurag Sharma and his associates as the attackers and detailing the sequence of events, police said.
So far, eight accused, including Anurag Sharma, have been arrested. Police teams continue to search for others still at large. 
Initial investigations point to a long-standing land dispute between the victims and the accused as the motive behind the murders.
