The Bombay High Court on Wednesday directed actor Shilpa Shetty and her husband Raj Kundra to deposit ₹60 crore if they wish to travel abroad, including to Los Angeles, while refusing to stay the Look Out Circular (LOC) issued against them.
The direction came as the couple sought to have the LOC quashed in connection with an FIR linked to an alleged ₹60 crore fraud being investigated by the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of the Mumbai Police. 
The court has adjourned the hearing to October 14, according to LiveLaw.
The case was filed based on a complaint by&nbsp;Deepak Kothari, director of Lotus Capital Financial Services, who accused Shetty and Kundra of misusing ₹60 crore that he had provided for business expansion between 2015 and 2023.
Kothari alleged that the couple had approached him seeking a ₹75 crore loan for their company Best Deal TV Pvt Ltd, a home-shopping platform. 
He invested ₹60 crore through two agreements in 2015, but his attempts to recover the funds failed after the company went into insolvency.
According to the EOW&rsquo;s preliminary findings, the invested money was allegedly diverted for personal use, prompting the registration of an FIR under Sections 403 (misappropriation), 406 (criminal breach of trust), and 34 (common intention) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
Their lawyer, Prashant Patil, refuted the allegations, stating that the couple would soon present &ldquo;our truth&rdquo; before the authorities.
