A bomb threat emailed to the Jaipur Sessions Court on Tuesday prompted a swift evacuation and a full-scale security sweep by police and bomb squads.
The threatening message received on the court&rsquo;s official email ID, set off alarms around noon, leading to rapid communication between the court administration and local police. Security forces quickly sealed the area, evacuating court staff and visitors as a precautionary measure.
A coordinated search operation began around 2 p.m., with multiple police units combing the premises. As of the latest update, no suspicious objects have been found.
In parallel, cybercrime units have launched an investigation to trace the origin of the email.
This is not the first such incident in Jaipur. On May 29, similar threats targeted the Metro Court (Pratham) and Family Court, allegedly sent from three different email accounts by a person claiming to be a former Maoist. Both threats turned out to be hoaxes but caused significant disruption.
A separate bomb scare also occurred last month at Mansarovar Metro Station, which was cleared after a full inspection.
Officials say court proceedings will resume once the area is confirmed safe.
