The woman accused in the BMW crash that killed a Finance Ministry official has been sent to two days of judicial custody.
The accused, 38-year-old Gagandeep Kaur Makkad, was arrested for allegedly driving the BMW that rammed into Navjot Singh (52), a deputy secretary in the Finance Ministry, and his wife, Sandeep Kaur, at Dhaula Kuan on Sunday afternoon.
A video from the aftermath of the accident shows bystanders pulling Gagandeep out of the overturned BMW X5. 
The car had struck a divider before crashing into the couple&rsquo;s motorcycle.&nbsp;
While Navjot Singh died at the spot, his wife sustained serious injuries.
The damaged motorcycle and Navjot&rsquo;s body were visible near the wrecked vehicle.
According to police sources, Gagandeep and her husband Parikshit Makkar, along with a passerby named Gulfam, transported the injured couple to the hospital in a van.&nbsp;
However, instead of taking them to a nearby facility, they went to NuLife Hospital in GTB Nagar, nearly 19 km away from the crash site.
The victim&rsquo;s family has alleged that the accused deliberately avoided closer hospitals. 
In her FIR, Sandeep Kaur stated that her husband was alive after the crash and that she repeatedly pleaded with the accused to take them to the nearest hospital, but her requests were ignored.
