After the Bengaluru techie Atul Subhash&rsquo;s suicide in December 2024 shocked the nation, now Manav Sharma, a recruitment manager at TCS Mumbai, has ended his life. 
His father, Narendra Kumar Sharma, a retired Air Force officer, has made allegations that his son took the extreme step due to continuous harassment by his wife.
Manav, 30, was found hanging at his home in Agra at 5 am on February 24. Two days later, his father approached the police station to file a complaint, but officers allegedly delayed registering the case, citing the absence of a senior officer due to Maha Shivratri.
Family&rsquo;s Heartbreak
Manav&rsquo;s family was inconsolable after discovering a video recorded by him before his death. His father, mother Neelam Sharma, and sister Akanksha broke down while watching his final words. In the video, Manav blamed his wife&rsquo;s constant threats to implicate him and the family in a false case and abusive behaviour for his distress. &nbsp;He also stated that he had lost all hope for peace.
Struggles and Allegations 
Manav got married on January 30, 2024, in Barhan and soon moved to Mumbai with his new wife. However, according to his family, she frequently quarrelled with him and threatened to falsely implicate him in legal cases. She allegedly also openly spoke about wanting to live with her boyfriend.
On February 23, the couple returned to Agra. That same day, Manav dropped his wife at her parental home, where he was allegedly threatened by her family. His parents believe this was the tipping point for their son&rsquo;s suicide the next morning.
Delayed Police Action 
Despite the gravity of the situation, Manav&rsquo;s family claims the police were initially reluctant to act or even file their complaint. They finally submitted a complaint to the Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, demanding a fair investigation into their son&rsquo;s suicide.
Sadar Inspector Viresh Pal Giri confirmed that the police received a written complaint via WhatsApp on the night of February 29, following which an official case was registered.
A Cry for Help
Manav&rsquo;s six-minute suicide video is deeply distressing. In it, he pleads for men&rsquo;s issues to be acknowledged, saying, &ldquo;Think about men. Someone should speak for them. They are lonely.&rdquo; He repeatedly apologizes to his family, saying, &ldquo;Papa, sorry. Mummy, sorry. Akku, sorry.&rdquo;
He also reveals that he had attempted suicide before. Towards the end, he wipes his tears and makes a final plea: &ldquo;Please don&rsquo;t harm my parents.&rdquo;
Seeking Justice
His grieving parents are now fighting for justice, urging authorities to take strict action against those responsible for Manav&rsquo;s suffering. His sister, Akanksha, tearfully stated, &ldquo;No other young man should have to take such a step.&rdquo;
