An accident on the Ahmedabad-Rajkot highway near Choraniya village in Gujarat&rsquo;s Surendranagar district claimed five lives and left 11 others injured early Sunday morning.
A field trip to Dwarka turned into a nightmare for students of Limdi Primary School in Mahisagar district, after their school bus collided with a dumper on their way back.&nbsp;&nbsp;
Nine students and two teachers, all of whom sustained injuries, were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The crash took place on a bridge near Patiya in Morwad village, where five people, including one woman, died on the spot. The impact of the collision severely crushed the bus, making rescue efforts challenging.
Local residents were the first to arrive at the scene, assisting in the rescue operations before authorities took over. Officials are currently investigating the cause of the accident.
