The Mumbai Police have detained three individuals believed to be linked to the accused in the recent Delhi car blast case. 
Officials said on Tuesday that the detainees are being sent to Delhi for further interrogation.
According to police, the three individuals were picked up from different locations during a covert operation carried out by a special team. 
They are currently under questioning.
Officials stated that the detained persons had been in contact with the main accused through a social media application. 
Police further noted that all three detainees come from well-to-do families, similar to Dr. Umar Muhammad and Dr. Muzammil, who are among the key accused in the terror module connected to the Delhi blast.
Investigations of a similar nature are underway in several districts across the state, officials added.
On Monday, sources indicated that investigators had uncovered encrypted conversations and evidence of weapon movements, revealing a tightly organised inner circle within the module linked to Dr. Umar Muhammad. 
Umar was the driver of the i20 car that exploded near Delhi&rsquo;s Red Fort, killing at least 13 people and injuring more than a dozen.
According to sources, Umar created an encrypted Signal group nearly three months ago, using a name with special characters to avoid detection. 
He allegedly added Muzammil, Adil Rather, Muzaffar Rather and Maulvi Irfan Ahmad Waghe to the group, which served as the core communication channel.
A significant breakthrough came when an assault rifle and a pistol were recovered from the vehicle of Dr. Shaheen Shahid. 
Investigators believe Umar had procured the weapons and handed them to Irfan in 2024. 
Shaheen had reportedly seen the same weapons during a visit to Irfan&rsquo;s room with Muzammil and is suspected to have contributed the largest share of funds supporting the group&rsquo;s activities.
Evidence gathered so far suggests a hierarchical structure and clear division of responsibilities, with financial support largely managed by the three doctors and Dr. Muzammil playing a central role. 
Recruitment of Kashmiri youths was allegedly handled by Irfan, who is believed to have brought in two arrested recruits, Arif Nisar Dar alias Sahil and Yasir ul Ashraf.
Investigators have noted multiple instances of weapon movement. 
In October 2023, Adil and Umar visited Irfan at a Kashmir mosque carrying a rifle hidden in a bag, later leaving after cleaning its barrel. 
A month later, Adil allegedly arrived at Irfan&rsquo;s residence with another rifle, with Muzammil and Shaheen also present at the location. 
The weapon was reportedly kept with Irfan before being collected by Adil the next morning.
The findings indicate a coordinated network operating via encrypted platforms, involving systematic fundraising, targeted recruitment and careful movement of weapons. 
The module is linked to the Faridabad terror network exposed on November 9, when police recovered 2,900 kg of explosives and ammunition from rented premises connected to Muzammil, a doctor associated with Al Falah University.
Umar, also connected to Al Falah University, was driving the car that exploded near the Red Fort on November 10, triggering an extensive multi-agency investigation. 
Authorities have since intensified efforts to trace all individuals connected to the network.
Further investigations are underway.
