<p data-start="190" data-end="496">A 27-year-old Israeli tourist and a homestay owner were allegedly gang-raped by three men while stargazing near a canal in Karnataka's Koppal on Thursday night. The incident occurred around 11:30 pm, when the accused attacked the women and pushed three accompanying male travellers into the canal, officials said Saturday.</p>
<p data-start="498" data-end="834">According to police, the three accused arrived on a motorcycle, initially asking for petrol and then demanding ₹100 from the Israeli woman. When the travellers refused, an argument ensued, leading to a violent assault. The accused overpowered the group, attacked the men, and sexually assaulted the women before fleeing on their bike.</p>
<p data-start="836" data-end="984">The male travellers included a U.S. national and two others from Maharashtra and Odisha. They managed to escape the canal and alerted authorities.</p>
<p data-start="986" data-end="1232" data-is-last-node="" data-is-only-node="">Koppal Superintendent of Police Ram L Arasiddi confirmed that a case has been registered under charges of rape and robbery. Two special teams have been deployed to track the suspects, who have been identified and are expected to be arrested soon.</p>
